Some older websites might not display correctly in Internet Explorer 8. You can use Compatibility View to improve the way the website looks. The website page you’re viewing will simply display as it would in an earlier version of Internet Explorer. In this tutorial,
we will look at how to turn Compatibility View on and off in Internet Explorer 8.
- Open a website in Internet Explorer.
- If the website is not up to date, the Compatibility View button will display in the address bar. You can click the button to display the webpage in Compatibility View.
- You can also click the Tools drop-down button and select Compatibility View
from the list.
NOTE: You can choose to always open certain websites in Compatibility View by clicking Compatibility View Settings and adding the website to the list.
That’s it for using Compatibility View. Hope you found it useful – don’t forget to take a look at some of the other tutorials about working in Internet Explorer 8.
