How to show multiple presentation windows in PowerPoint
If you need to, you are able to view more than one presentation window that you have open by arranging them:
. Click on the View tab in the Ribbon
. Click on the button marked Arrange All in the Windows Group
A single large PowerPoint window will be opened showing all your active presentation windows arranged side by side.
It is also possible to cascade your presentation windows in the PowerPoint program window when required:
. Click on the View tab in the Windows Group
. Click the Cascade Windows button
Your presentation windows will be cascaded, one in front of the other for your convenience.
To make a presentation window active to work on, you must switch to that window:
. Click on your desired window
. In the Windows Group, on the View tab click the button that says Switch Windows
. Select the presentation you want to be active
A useful feature of PowerPoint is the ability to switch between several views, depending on what you require them for:
Normal: This is the best view to use when you are entering, formatting and editing your presentation. It displays the side pane, Notes Pane and the Outline tabs.
Slide Sorter: You will use this view to re-order your slides and set the times for each slide to be viewed for an on-screen slideshow. It will display miniature versions of the slides.
Notes Page: Gives you the ability to enter notes below a scaled-down version of your slide.
Slideshow: Displays each slide continually in an on-screen slideshow.
Slide Master: Stores information about the sizes and positions of placeholders, where text, numbers and bullet points etc. will be placed.
Hand-out Master: Stores information about placeholders on your hand-outs to be given to the audience.
Notes Master: Stores information about the placeholders that are contained in the notes for the person giving the presentation.
To change the view
To change the view you are using you can use one of two possible methods:
. Click on one of the small view buttons which can be found in the Status bar . NB : Only 3 of the views can be found here. These are Normal, Slide Sorter and Slideshow.
. Click the View tab within the Ribbon and from the Presentation Views Group, choose the view that you require.
