Apple Computers and current products come with a built in browser called “Safari.” Safari has managed to compete with other popular browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox by constantly creating competing features and innovating new features that make the browser experience easier and more streamlined for the user. Each new version of Safari has boasted improved features as well as brand new features. Safari is one of the few browsers that allows the user to drag and drop content from their computer into an upload field by simply typing the name of the file into Safari's browser tool simply known as “finder.”

This browser not only streamlines the experience of a user on a home computer or a laptop, but also those of mobile devices. Safari is the default browser of most of Apple's mobile devices as well as their home computers. A user can access the internet using Safari on the newer version of ipod touch as well as the latest version of iphones.

Safari also manages to support various types of scripts all at once, which allows a user to view an entire site, even if different features and parts of the site feature different types of coding. Safari supports HTML (otherwise known as “hyper text markup language,”) Javascript, and the latest version of coding HTML5. This allows Safari to recognize newer web pages while simultaneously recognizing ones that use older, or different types of code. When working with mobile devices such as the aforementioned ipod touch or iphone safari also has a more streamlined “cleanup” mode, which removes unnecessary content from the site you're viewing and streamlines the content.

This is perfect for users viewing content on a mobile device as unnecessary content will clutter up the screen and make it extremely difficult if not impossible to find the actual searched for query. One of the features that's managed to make Safari stand out from other browsers is the fact that it has an “email web page” feature. In the past if you wanted to email a website to a friend you would have to copy the URL field and paste it into your email for your chosen recipient to copy and paste into their own URL bar. Granted some browsers have created a feature where you can simply click on the pasted URL to follow the link, but Safari has proverbially “one upped” that feature by creating their own “email web page feature.”

All you have to do to use this feature is simply click on the tool bar and find the button that says “email web page,” after clicking on that all you have to do is enter the email address of your chosen recipient. This drastically cuts down on the amount of time and effort an individual has to spend in order to share a link with a contact on their email list.
