Safari is a fairly easy-to-use browser but there just might be a few things that you do not know about this application from Apple. This browser is considered as one of the best especially for Mac enthusiasts. Aside from the super speedy rendering times and the polished interface, you can make it more interesting by following the tips below:
Send a Link via Email
This is one of the most useful shortcuts that you can use with this browser. Using your Mac keyboard, hit Command + CTRL + I so you can open your default application for email. You will see that it has dumped the URL of the current page in the new email message.
If you often surf hard with a dozen of tabs on a single browser, this may be useful for you. Since you have multiple tabs open and you go from one page to another, there is a chance that you have forgotten that one special item you found five minutes ago. Of course you can always use the back button until you find it but SnapBack is a much better option. Simply go to History then proceed to the Mark Page so you can set the particular SnapBack point. This way, you can instantly return to that site by hitting the button in the address bar.
Easy Bookmarks Manager
Adding a bookmark in the bookmarks bar is easy but you can also group them in one folder to quickly navigate to them. Right click on the bookmarks bar and choose New Folder. Name the folder with whatever you want. This will be empty at first when you click on it but you can add specific sites here so you can open them when required.
The Browser’s Activity Window
Safari has built in tabbed browsing but by default it is not turned on. You will need to click on the checkbox right in the Preferences pane. You can also use shortcuts whenever you deal with the browser’s tabs including Command + T to open a new tab and Command + click on a URL to open it in a new tab.
Merge Multiple Windows
Having too many windows open can make it difficult for you to navigate through them. However, you can simplify your surfing by combining them into one. To do this, go to Windows and click on Merge All Windows. Note that the pages or tabs you merge will have to refresh again when they are merged into one window.
Safari is a web browser that you can easily use as you surf online. It has an intuitive and simple interface so if you wish to switch from one browser to this one then transition is guaranteed to be really smooth.
